Privacy Policy
Effective: May 27, 2026 · Last revised: May 2026
1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing under the GDPR and for operating the "Booze Pilot" app is:
Decisions Made Easy GmbH
Represented by managing director Peter Schneider
Händelstraße 18
76185 Karlsruhe
Germany
Phone: +49 151 15 77 3041
Email: pegelpilot@pjs.de
Commercial register: Mannheim Local Court, HRB 753768
2. What data does the app process?
Booze Pilot only processes data that you enter into the app yourself, and exclusively locally on your device. No transmission to us or to third parties takes place.
2.1 Profile data
- Sex, body weight, age (for calculating the BAC curve via Widmark)
- Optional first name (purely for display in the app)
2.2 Drink and log data
- Type, amount and time of drinks you record
- Aggregated stats (averages, yearly and weekly trends)
2.3 Apple HealthKit (only if you enable it)
Booze Pilot can optionally access Apple Health — both read and write. Both are opt-in and can be changed or revoked at any time.
Read access lets Booze Pilot pull:
- your daily step count
- your last night's sleep duration
- optionally, existing alcohol entries in Apple Health (for display in the wellness context)
Write access — if you enable "Log drinks to Apple Health" in your profile — lets Booze Pilot save every drink as a standard drink (12 g of pure alcohol ≡ 1 standard drink, WHO/DGE definition) under Apple Health → Alcohol Consumption. If you delete a drink in Booze Pilot, the related Health entry is removed.
Apple Health runs entirely on your device. Data never leaves your iPhone towards Decisions Made Easy GmbH or any third party. You can revoke either permission at any time under Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Booze Pilot.
3. Where is the data stored?
All entries are stored in a local SwiftData database on your iPhone. They are not transmitted to Decisions Made Easy GmbH or to third parties. If you have iCloud Backup enabled for your iPhone, the backup may include app data — this happens encrypted directly between your device and Apple and is outside our area of influence.
4. Transfers to third parties
None. Booze Pilot does not communicate with any servers. There are no analytics SDKs, no tracking, no ad networks, no third-party crash reporters. Any crash reports are processed anonymously only via Apple's standard mechanism, provided you have enabled this in iOS under Settings → Privacy & Security → Analytics & Improvements.
5. App Store privacy nutrition label
In the Apple App Store, Booze Pilot is listed as "Data Not Collected".
6. Your rights (GDPR & US privacy laws)
Since we do not collect, process or store any personal data, most of the classic data-subject rights (Art. 15–21 GDPR, CCPA "right to know / delete / opt out of sale") run into nothing — there's simply no data we hold about you.
You retain full control over your local data in the app at all times:
- View: via the Log and Stats tabs directly in the app
- Correct: tap and edit individual entries
- Delete: swipe individual entries, reset full profile from the Profile page, or delete the app
7. Disclaimer / important notice
Booze Pilot is an entertainment and tracking app. BAC values are estimated using the Widmark formula and do not replace a breathalyzer or blood alcohol test. Never make decisions about driving ability based on the app. When in doubt: do not drive.
8. Changes to this policy
We may update this privacy policy to reflect changes in legal or functional circumstances. The current version is always available at boozepilot-app.com/privacy.html.
9. Supervisory authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with the responsible supervisory
authority. For Baden-Württemberg, Germany, that is:

Königstraße 10a, 70173 Stuttgart, Germany
